Jamie's first book for Orchard Books was Giddy Goat. This tells the story of Giddy,
a goat who lives on top of a rocky mountain but has no head for heights. It is only when he
finds a lost lamb that Giddy becomes determined to find the fearless goat inside himself!
A touching and humorous story, with superb illustrations by Lynne Chapman, about making
friends and facing fears. Giddy returns in a hilarious follow-up, Giddy the Great,
as his adventures of self-discovery continue.
In his spare time, Jamie likes to run (he ran the 2000 London Marathon for MENCAP) and play cricket. Married to Helen, with two grown up sons who won't listen to his stories anymore, Jamie lives in South London with a dog, a cat and a fox under the garden shed. |
