Cressida Cowell

Picture of Cressida Cowell Cressida Cowell grew up mostly in Central London. She has a B.A. in English Literature from Oxford, a B.A. in Graphic Design from St Martin's and an M.A. in Narrative Illustration from Brighton.

Cressida is the author of numerous titles for Hodder, including the popular Hiccup titles. She loves illustrating her own work, but also loves writing books for other people to illustrate as the end result can be so unexpected and inspiring.

Cressida's first title for Orchard Books is That Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown. With stunning, quirky illustrations from award-winning illustrator, Neal Layton, That Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown tells the story of Emily Brown and her much-loved toy rabbit, Stanley. Cressida lives in West London with her husband and three children.
